What is Fascism?
I would define fascism as the intersection between ultranationalism and class collaborationism. In other words, it is a spectrum with Nazism on the right, and social democracy on the left. The neoliberal is the moderate fascist.
American Liberalism and Fascism
Class Collaboration
In The Doctrine of Fascism Mussolini explains: "Fascism also denies the immutable and irreparable character of the class struggle which is the natural outcome of this economic conception of history."
This alone already aligns the liberal with the fascist — both ideologies necessitate a rejection of historical materialism and class analysis.
Neither neoliberalism nor social democracy seek to uproot class conflict — they seek collaboration between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat.
Ultranationalism
Biden, like any other American president, consistently venerates the troops and police. America is ultimately still put before the good of all other nations.
The American liberal is in favor of immigration because they serve as a permanent underclass. The liberal supports imperialism, but with different justifications.
The Left Wing of Fascism
The modern liberal or social democrat is merely a fascist with a friendly face. Corporatism and imperialism but with a welfare state for the citizens of the nation is not progressive. It is the left wing of fascism.
